Academic and spiritual excellence for the
transformation of society through Christ
Schools

The School of Evangelical Theology (FTE) has four Departments: Pastoral Theology, Biblical Theology, Missiology and Translation of the Bible. The basic goal of the program of Graduat in Theology is the communication of the biblical truth. This program underlines a knowledge and understanding of the Bible, the communication of Biblical truth to others and the life style necessary to make the Bible’s message ring true when lived out before others.

The School of Development (FD) trains experts in development who can mobilize the population to reinforce their local capacities, facilitate the identification of their needs and accompany them in the process of their own development from the grass roots. This development must be practical, be adapted to the context of the milieu for which it is conceived and be durable. The action of these experts will not only be based on scientifically verifiable and justifiable data, but also on explicit spiritual, moral and civic training in order to achieve a solid basis for development. They will be able to work out a project in light of the needs presented by the local population, to submit it to the appropriate authority or to carry out it out locally where necessary. These leaders will also play the part of negotiators with potential partners and enable collaboration with the Government, the church or any other non-profit organization. They can also defend vulnerable groups in society such as children, women and the aged.

The School of Science (FS) seeks to train professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to positively influence the management, exploitation and conservation of natural resources. Throughout their training, students develop the abilities of scientific analysis which help them to manage the problems threatening our environment, to propose solutions and to encourage practices of healthy exploitation in order to ensure lasting development. The students learn the Biblical basis of the creation of the world in order to discover the way that God has explained for the management of natural resources. The students also provide environmental education for schools and the community in order to stimulate the population to develop the resources which are at their disposal while at the same time denouncing harmful environment practices (pollution and others). This approach can help the State to develop laws guaranteeing the protection and promotion of nature.

The School of Administration and Business Management (FAGE) seeks to train technicians who are able to plan, manage and fulfill the role of a consultant in various organizations and projects. This training helps the student master the principles of development in order to manage the resources available to an organization. His management must have a clear ethical, spiritual and civic quality so that the graduate realizes that he was trained for the service of others and that the resources at its disposal are a gift of God. At the end of his training, the graduate of the Administration and Management of Organizations program will be able to ensure healthy management, effective follow-up and objective evaluation for the benefit of these responsible. He must also be able to plan a project for himself in order to meet one or more of the needs in its milieu. These graduates will make their expertise available for the service of others.

The School of Agricultural Science (FSA) was created after considering the serious threats against the micro and macro ecosystems of the DRC in general and the area of the Great Lakes in particular. This faculty enables students to understand the rational exploitation of our renewable natural resources and how to achieve eco friendly production. This training fills the vacuum created by the lack of technicians and experts able to manage, exploit and care for the lake, land and forest ecosystems in order to restore this distressed area of the economy through constant oversight of aquatic fauna and forest resources. At the end of his training, the Fishing, Water and Forestry engineer will be able to comprehend the secrets of production in the ecosystem. In his capacity as a manager, technician, administrator and person in charge of or adviser to the proper authority, he will be able to solve a certain number of problems relating to the management of water, lands and forest. Moreover, he will be able to take up the multiple challenges which these ecosystems pose without forgetting that he is, through divine love, a co-manager with God in the rational use of natural resources. Where possible, he will be engaged in developing ecosystems of great value and at same time able to initiate private production.
